Go with the peach dress for wedding season!
Who doesn’t love wedding season, especially when you get to wear that adorable peach dress! Well unless you’re a girl in your early to mid 20’s, you probably aren’t a huge fan of weddings. I just love everything about them from the table centerpieces to the bridesmaids dresses, they’re so fun. I can’t help but plan for my own wedding, what colors I want, what flowers I want, and even what I want my cake to look like. I take comfort in knowing that I’m not the only twenty-two year old who does this.
Last summer my cousin got married in this little venue in Seattle. I had no idea what I wanted to wear so I just ended up packing this summer dress from last year. My cousins wanted to take me shopping so we ended up going to the downtown Seattle Macy’s, and that’s where I found the dress. At first I was worried because I didn’t want it to look like a bridesmaid dress but then I thought who cares? My cousin’s bridesmaids were wearing black satin dresses, which didn’t look anything like mine. The one I found was this one-shoulder, tiered chiffon dress. It was so cute, I knew I had to buy it.
Before trying it on I was a little hesitant because I didn’t know how it would look with my skin tone but to my surprise it looked great! I fell in love with the color. So I checked out other dresses in that same color on my Resultly app here . They also had super cute ones from all these different stores. I decided to wait before purchasing another one, maybe if there’s another wedding sometime soon.
The day of the wedding finally arrived and I looked and felt great! I ended up wearing nude-colored heels along with light pink studded diamond earrings and a stylish flowered headband. I remember getting a lot of compliments on both my dress and shoes. I remember thinking good thing I didn’t go with that random summer dress from last summer. Plus, after a few glasses of Moscato I remember slow dancing with my cousin’s new husband’s brother. Win-win! Weddings are so fun.
When I got home from my week long vacation in Seattle the first thing I did was, well go shopping. My first stop was Forever 21 where I found the most chic and stylish dress. Here’s the thing I didn’t have another wedding to wear this one to, but I knew I would make some use out of it. And I was definitely right. This dress was the same color as the one I wore to the wedding, yet it was different. It was floral-embroidered and had this mesh fabric. It was very elegant and classy. To my surprise my second cousin on my dad’s side was getting married in September and I thought I already have my outfit!
So I ended up wearing the floral-embroidered dress with the same nude-colored heels and accessories. I was ready to go in my peach dress!
